Yeah sorry, alligator clip/ jumper same thing. The only thing different I did was use the jumper instead of removing the resistor. The tone gets brighter on both channels but there’s definitely a volume difference between the two

It’s a 220k. And the volume about doubled on the BE channel but had no affect on the HBE using the jumper

Kempers can sound good out front if you can get past what’s going on on stage. I used one for a bit but will never go back
