Anybody ever build a Marshall clone?

I built a Mojo JTM 45 kit a few years ago. It was fun, but I think this summer I'm going to mod the shit out of it.

Pirate let me enter 1600 for the Jubilee, no problem. Can't comment on the signature fee; didn't need it for my shipment.

I am sitting here scratching my head. UPS went from $212 to $93 with Pirate. It went to $113 with Nerd but it didn't tell which shipper that was.

I got three quotes yesterday on shipping a Jubilee 100w from Wash St to a buddy in Iowa. UPS, USPS, and FedEx were all above $200. Jesus, I must be getting old...I remember shipping Marshalls all day long for $38 coast to coast.

Marshall 2555x 100w Jubilee reissue, PNW local sale, $1400

This a 2015. It is in flawless condition except for some mysterious blue markings on the side. Footswitch and power cable included. Price is firm, and no trades. I'm in Centralia, WA...come and get it. edit: on hold

Friedman BE-100, early 2-input version, built by Metropoulos

These don't come up for sale too often. I got this a couple years ago locally. Word has it that George made 200 of these, and then Dave switched the design and production location. There isn't a switch to go back and forth between BE and HBE; just dedicated input jacks. There's nothing wrong...

    question for rack dudes

I've been using a 1st-gen Mesa 295 mated to a Mesa Quad for guitar, and then mated to a Demeter VTB-201 for bass. That power amp is heavier than a dead preacher. I was thinking of going with something like a QSC PL/PLX and drop the rack's weight by about 70 lbs. I'll get to experimenting as soon...

    question for rack dudes

In the past or present, do you know of any pro players that went with a regular P.A. power amp to power their guitar cabs?

So the $50k Greenie (dinner w/Kirk included) was just the beginning?

Is there anything like the Friedman IR-X...

That is my exact next experiment as soon as I find the right IR box, and EQ pedal to go inbetween them.

If your Mesa 4x12 is fizzy/harsh, or you want for more mids, this post is for you. Series/Parallel Bogner treatment!

Yup, that's what I did with my Soldano 4x12 after loading up a quad of greenbacks.

Going to hijack your thread for a second, Nigel. I updated an older Recto cab last year that used the same Switchcraft shorting jack... I put in all new Cliff switching jacks. Since the older jack plate didn't have an Out jack, it only required 3 little jumpers... It went from this...

the top 10 most listened to electric guitars in history?

If you dip your toes into the Nashville swamp, I'll go with Brent Mason's Tele. That plank is probably the most recorded and recognized guitar in that town. Then you got the Skynyrd gutars, Dwayne's and Dickey's Gibsons, Carlton's 335...there is no end to the list.
