Hi Guys, I've got a 1975 JMP 2203 head that I'm considering selling. Does anyone know the value of these and how desireable they are. It's in very good condition for it's age and is totally stock. It even has the original Mullard tubes which are fine and don't need replacing. Any help would be appreciated.

Dom

Let me be the first to say it: It's worth $100. I'll buy it.

If it's in that good of condition, with the Mullards..i'd try to get $1500 for it. The market is going up on those recently.

Wow...didn't realize they were that pricey.

I think $1500 would have been far easier to get 6-8 months ago than it is now.

$225...

The market isnt great at the moment. The last 2 on eBay went for somewhere between £350 - £450 IIRC.

If you arent desperate to sell, maybe hold on to it for a bit?

That's in the UK. They are much more expensive here.

I agree with that, they do go for more in the USA.

We are a lot of help, doncha think??.....305.00 :D Would think its worth every bit of 1500, it may be worth more to the right person if its in great shape, all original, but it is a terrible time to move an amp. I would say wait a bit, but I dont think it will get better, I think it could easily get worse over the next year. Let us know what you decide ;)

Wayyyy off topic, but I saw Viking Skull with Clutch here in NJ. you guys were great!

Mind telling which amp was used on the latest album? Speakers?

-Joe

Thanks for all the help guys. I'm based in the UK so if i get around £500 i will be lucky.

On the new album I used a Sunn Model T head into a Marshall Mode 4 cab and a jcm800 2010 into the same Mode 4 cab. All the guitar tracks were recorded with Les Pauls and SG's and solos were boosted with a Catalin Bread Poblano Picasso.

Cheers Dom.

Sorry to be a pain, but which pickups mostly?

-Joe

No problem Joe, The Les Paul was loaded with a Bare Knuckle Miracle Man set. the Sg was loaded with SD Pearly Gates in the bridge and a stock Gibson in the neck. All the lead breaks where played on the LP.

Cool, thanks for the info.

I'm looking for new pickups to put in my Les Paul to play a similar style. I don't want anything too hot. I currently use the Gibson 500T and need a change.

I was thinking of checking out the WCR Godwoods. Any experience with those?

cheers

You should sell it to one of these guys. With the weak pound £500 + £100 shipping = $855 :)

Was wondering how that would translate into US dollars, people here would gobble that thing up at that price, even more
