1980s Gibson Les Paul Silverburst Standard???

There's a supposed 1985 Gibson LP Standard for sale in my area and I've never seen a standard before The only ones I knew that had that paint job were the Les Paul Customs. Can anyone verify if the standards came is silverburst that year? Thanks

There was a special run in 1988 - Showcase Edition Silverburst with EMGs. Only a 200 or so made. I guess it's a collectors item if you are into such things.

I just went and checked it out and it was a showcase edition......I had to get it After some research I found out there were only 200 made Its a little beat up buri got an OBSCENE price on it, couldn't pass it up ;D

Cool. I really like that guitar. I was gonna buy one earlier this year, but I couldn't get the guy to come down on the price. He wanted $2,200 and I wasn't gonna pay that much.

Yup, that was it. I guess you know your silver bursts. I still haven't seen one sell for more than one of the earlier customs as far as collector value goes.
