Hey everyone. I have a 89 Charvel Fusion Deluxe. It was Magenta back when I bought it, but has been painted many times. I'd like to restore it back to the orginal color. I've gotten no responce from Charvel. Any ideas how to get the matching paint color? The head stock on this giutar was color matched as well. I'd like to paint the headstock and add the Charvel name again. It was the handwritten looking logo. What do you think? Thanks.

Do you have the original color anywhere on there? Take it to a store that sells automotive paint and they can match it. As far as the logo google 'charvel toothpaste logo'. I bought one online a few years ago I forget where. Or if you can get an image to a vinyl graphic type place they could make you one.

Thanks for the logo tip. I just ordered one! There is no spot on the guitar that has a good sample for paint matching. Someone at Fender/Charvel just got back to me this morning. I'm thinking it's because I just posted that they were no help! Either way... they say thay can't help. I'm sure someone knows what the paint color was. Who made the paint? What was the color name? Paint code? I'm sure it's archived somewhere. Thanks again.

I would try to find some old catalogs online and try to pick something close.

Thanks again. I actually have the promo booklet that they show at audiozone. I'll spend some time at jcfonline.com. Thanks for that link.
I'm trying to match the color exactly. Not a close match from a catalog picture. Am I going overboard about this. The guitar is rarer then I thought it would be. Not that I'll sell it. First, I made a mistake in my first post. It's a custom, not a deluxe. They only made the custom with magenta for the 89 year and dumped the color after that. Nobody wanted pink I guess. Including me! I just got a great deal on it. So I'd like, for myself, to bring her back to the proper color.... not a close match.
