I'm looking to pick up a 1x12 cab - what speaker would you recommend?

Celestion 12-65 or wgs equivalent.

Creamback is what Friedman put in the combo so not a bad place to start.

I have the jj jr from the Friedman family of amps and have v30s and just picked up a 65 creamback. The v30 is a more mid forward where as the creamback has a slight scoop and more high end in comparing the two. Both sound great but bring something a little different.

I have an event 12L I won at a G.L. clinic in an evh 1x12 cab.
Sounds good will handle power easy.
I have creamback 75 paired with v30 16 ohm in 2- 2x12 cabs. They sound fantastic.
Also 8ohm 75 cream back and evh sig greenbacks in a 4x12 cab sound good too.
Not sure on the cream back alone ?

I have both 75 and 65 creambacks in Bogner Cubes. I prefer the 65s slightly more.

I have a Laney 112 with a redback, and its excellent. I have a lot of redbacks, though lol.

Check out the celestion bns12-300 neo , I have one in my mesa mk iv combo and in a quilter block dock hd cab and it has some serious power handling and bass response for a 1x12. Sounds like a Celestion but still pretty neutral to. Not to mention insanely light!

I'll put in another vote for the Redback. 1x12 cabs are kind of honky in the mids, the Redback is scooped in just the right frequencies so it balances out pretty good. I have a ported 1x12 VHT (pre-Fryette) that's a bit over-sized and a smaller cheap no name ebay 1x12, tried numerous speakers in both and the Redback was the best for both cabs. Runner ups were an EV Force and a G12K-100.

I prefer a G12h30 in a 1x12. In this case I'd go with an H75 creamback for the watts. Or a v30. The Runt sounds great through either.
