Prototype giveaways again. Recipients will be chosen by their match for the pickups in question.

1st up is a 13.8k/A8 standard spacing zebra 2 conductor. This one has offset coils and is slightly more throaty then the Wicked 8 below. I guess it’d be a wicked’r 8. Great for Lynch type tones

2nd Up is a 17.1k/A5. Similar specs to a JB with more clarity and no boxy mids. This one is slightly distressed double black 4 conductor.

Some example at medium gain

Killer Scott! I'm always down to try out more of your stuff, but the 17.1k A5 sounds most interesting ? the a8 should go to more of a super shredder

For reference, how close is the Wicked 8 to the old Ibanez Super 70s with A8 magnets?

This one would have a little more bass and low mids and slightly less high end than the last one, but still night and day difference in clarity compared to a JB

Very intrested in the jb like pickup, I am a huge jb fan

I also have one more available later in the weekend that’s a dual screw row 16.4K/A5 that’s intended for lower tunings. It’s really tight with lots of grind.

Interested. I tune to drop B and always tend to gravitate towards lower output PAF ish type. Of course I can do a clip or two also.

None of these are PAF output, but being hand wound do retain the clarity of a PAF more so than a similar spec Duncan or DiMarzio. But I think it pairs well with lower tunings. It’s going to hold together really well and still cut. The specs are similar to a BareKnuckle Silo for reference.

Yeah, the clarity is what I like. Interested for sure. I even use 10-52's with drop B which also gives a bit more clarity over thicker strings commonly used with lower tuning.

Yeah I also liked the refined JB. But the A8 has a nice throaty character to it. Nice to dig into on a chunky rythm I bet. Both sound promising.

So, the one I added mid thread is spoken for, as is the 17k/A5. The 13.8/A8 is still available

I am looking for a JB type with more harmonics. Maybe a little less mids but not much. I like a beefier pickup. Not sure how to get on a list but I am looking to swap a pickup very soon.

More harmonics and more open. Plenty of mids.

Just recorded this with that pickup in a charvel

You know what? Shoot me the A8 i will pay for shipping. I love Lynch and his Wicked era tone and that pup has detail and chunk. If it needs a trial home, I'll giv'er a run for you.
