I see a lot of Shiva chatter lately, so I figured I'd make a quick demo of mine. I see a lot of posts around the net saying that the Shiva, especially the 6L6 version can't do high gain? I figured maybe this video might dispell that myth. :D

It sounds better the louder you turn it up obviously. At lower volumes like the video, it sounds a little better if you back off the Bass just a tad. I actually don't use this setting as I prefer a more medium gain with an OCD pedal out front for leads, I justed wanted to show that this amp can be a bit brutal on it's own if that's what you're looking for.

The "trick" is the settings I found from somebody online. Kind of strange but seems to work:

Gain: Maxed
Bass: Maxed
Middle: Maxed
Treble: Off
Master: Noon
Presence: 9 o'clock
B.Vol. 2: To taste

That is GREAT. I think the 6L6 Shiva is WAY underrated.

Me too. But WTF do I know, I'm an middle aged dude who's now learning via forums that the tone in the video is "not" considered High Gain anymore...
