Up for sale is a 2014 Gibson Custom Shop Long Scale Les Paul, a unique and somewhat under-the-radar Custom Shop model that blends classic Les Paul tone with a slightly different feel thanks to the extended 25.5" scale design. If you’re looking for something that retains vintage DNA but feels a little more articulate and responsive, this is a seriously cool example.

Specs & Highlights
  • Gibson Custom Shop build (2014)
  • Long Scale Les Paul model
  • Comfortable ’59 neck profile
  • Original Custombucker pickups
  • All-original electronics except for upgraded pots
  • Plays exceptionally well with smooth, fast action
Condition

Overall, the guitar is in very good condition and has clearly been well cared for.
  • Back of the neck is clean and smooth, no distracting wear
  • Minor worming on the back of the body consistent with light normal use
  • Frets feel excellent with very little wear and are nicely polished
  • Setup is dialed in and the guitar plays like a dream
Frets & Fret Nibs

The guitar does not have fret nibs. Based on my research and manufacturer information, Gibson did not use fret nibs on this model/year, so this may be original. That said, I cannot definitively confirm whether it has been refretted. What I can confirm is that the frets are in fantastic playing condition.

Electronics / Pots

The guitar currently has replacement pots installed. These are slightly longer than standard Gibson pots (originally used to accommodate “Speed Knobs”), so with traditional knobs installed the knobs sit slightly off the body. This is purely cosmetic and could be easily corrected by any competent tech if desired.

Tone & Playability

The Custombuckers in this guitar sound fantastic, delivering classic PAF-style clarity with great dynamics and articulation. Combined with the long-scale feel, it has a tight low end, great note separation, and a lively response that stands out from typical Les Pauls.

thats cool. I never knew they made these.
It's a really cool axe. Sounds unlike any other Les Paul I've ever played, but in a cool way. More like a piano. Sounds almost kind of like how a Suhr does: it has this note purity that is very cool especially in the lower registers. I don't really want to sell it but I could use the cash. Cool guitar for sure!

I am sorry bro, seems like a Chibson. Could be wrong, but no nibs, crazy scale length. Even from the pics..not calling you into question but this guitar is off.
