Is the maximum gain on these between a traditional plexi and the MC II?
 
It's not an MCII, totally different amp. It's got a 3 way toggle that I assume switches in/out bright cap, then the down position definitely adds gain but you'd still need to turn up for thicker distortion or gain. Takes pedals well - hit with a REVV pedal, Diezel or Bogner and you got loads of options. Amp weighs 55 lbs which helps the grunt for heavy.
