Any F1 fans around here?

Season is about to start soon, are you excited!

Big fan here, McLaren all the way!🤘 Lando, this is your year🤘

Give a shout on your favorite driver and team combo. Gonna be a crazy season for sure.

Lights out, and away we go!🤣

Was always a big fan but these days we only get to see 1 Grand Prix on free-to-air TV and that's the Aussie one, so I get my info in dribs and drabs.

How's young Oscar coming along? Staying at McLaren?

Lewis at Ferrari will be interesting, especially if they can get their strategies right.

That sucks. We have coverage via ESPN here in the states, and then that includes abc broadcast on normal over the air tv. We get every race, including practice and quali.

Oscar is a very good driver, without him McLaren would not have won the manufacturing title. I don't see him leaving.I absolutely love this team. So good.

My biggest concern is Oscars manager, Mark Webber. He seems to influence him and bring a bit of his own baggage to the scenario, but I get it. Considering his history as a driver, it makes sense.

As far as Ferrari, I think Charles and Lewis will clash and probably crash each other, at least 4 times this next season.

If Carlos got under Leclaire's skin, Lewis will not be any different. I think Ferrari made a huge mistake letting Sainz go, massive.

Yeah, I'm a F1 nerd.

Finally getting around to watching Drive to Survive, forgot how much drama was in last season.

Such a good show.

Of course, we don't get that free-to-air either.

Even Aussie Rules Football's been slowly bled to Foxtel et al. Now this year the latest thing is that we won't even get any games played on a Saturday.

I may or may not know a guy, and I may or may not pay for that.

🤷🏻‍♂️

Used to watch a lot more back in the day but things got boring in recent years. I like Verstappen though, and good to see Ferrari hanging around. Lando has worked hard to get where he is now.

Tonight's the night!!!!!
So excited!!!!🤘🤘🤘🤘

Australian Gran Prix Weekend!!!!
P1

Anyone have any quali predictions?
🏎️🏎️🏎️🏎️

Tell you what, it's awesome to be able to actually watch it live.

Pity Channel 10, our "home of motorsport" can't bring itself to broadcast the rest of the season as it did previously.

P2 is now over.

To the casual observer it'd look like Ferrari vs McLaren at this point, but of course it's highly-likely that Red Bull et al are being cagey and not showing their full hands.

We'll find out tomorrow during quali.

I am in the States, so I was in bed for P2.

About to watch it back now.

As I watch, I will do my best not to spoil as the season goes in. I will use the ispoiler function to hide any spoilers.

I am very excited for this season, and can't wait to see how things progress.

I am a McLaren fan, but there are a few drivers I really like, such as Sainz and Alonzo of course.

I think McLaren has the most solid lineup and car, they need to capitalize at the beginning, to maximize early points with both drivers. I believe this will prove invaluable towards the end The season. If they don't do it now, it will bite them in the ass.

Good to know I'm not the only dude watching.

👍🤘

Yup, they need to place some "scoreboard pressure" on everyone else, ideally.

I've got the telly on, waiting for them to hit the track again.

Hopefully the pebble issue was taken care of overnight...

Seems like there was a slight hump that the plank and floor were hitting, forcing the car wide, into the gravel. Had me a bit worried.

Also, it does seem a bit too close, the gravel.
I love the track though. Have a thing for these type of street tracks.

The wife and and we're very happy to see the whole gang on the broadcast. We essentially see the sky broadcast, which is fed to ESPN. With Hulu we can see all the driver cams during the race, which is cool.

Pathetic.

F3's racing ATM and almost every lap I'm seeing dust clouds from the gravel in that spot.

The fact that they haven't fixed it overnight blows my mind.

One of the commentary guys on our broadcast, said it would be hard to come up with a true solution in a short time, because grass would rut up in the coming rain.

Sucks, but I guess it could be worse. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Astroturf or whatever that green stuff is bro'. There's another durable, synthetic option but I don't know what it's called.

It's been done before at other tracks around the world - an overnight fix. Hockenheim had to do it once IIRC.

Safety car is out now for the second time in a 20-lap race so they can sweep the track clean again.

I know, I'm just surprised it was an issue in the first place. A lot of this stuff seems obvious, most of the time.

Like the issues they had in Vegas.

Well, should be an interesting race. Yay!🤣🤣🤣

Lame.

Yup.

I just don't want to see safety cars stealing leaders' gains every so many laps because of a rookie-level oversight and no attempt to fix it.
