He didn’t move for a bit, I think he was out cold. Nobody would have laid in the middle of a high speed section of the track like that if they were awake.

I saw footage of Chase doing laps during qualifying/practice, I believe. He wasn’t hitting doubles or triples and looked very blasé. RV and RC were scratching their heads.

So I’m hearing RJ, Webb and Justin Cooper’s names being discussed. Out of those 3 I think Cooper would be the 250 pick. I think RJ could put in a “ride of his life “ thing like Villopoto did in 07 at Budds Creek, but we’ll see what happens

Went to MXON at Ironman, it was off the charts cool even if we got 2nd place.
Jo rode his ass off, we were stunned how fast he was on a 450 the whole weekend.
Our team did good. Yes we got second place on our own soil which nobody wanted, but considering what happened it could have been worse. RJ went down, got up and went into full panic and ended up going down several times until his bike was crippled to a point he could not continue. They did not rip the track as deep as they normally do for a National and it made for a situation where you would certainly go down if you over rode it. Eli rode his ass off but could tell if he went any faster he would go down. He was visibly frustrated after it was over. Jett was clearly the fastest guy on the planet, his smooth riding style enabled him to go faster than anyone trying to hammer the track to make up time. Hunter rode really well too, they beat us straight up and it was clearly the Australian teams to loose.
JCoop rode hard the whole day and would have loved to have done better, but it did not pan out.
The fans were completely insane, the chainsaw people showed up in force, the sign head people also. Evan the deer also showed up and when they all converged into the infield, it completely went full on insanity.

The “Evan the deer” thing has taken on a life of its own, I’ve seen Evan the deer at Red Bud for years and at a few other races, but when he came out at MXON, the place went crazy! We also spotted him at other MXON races around the country, but I think he has become more famous than some of the actual riders…
