Hi,

since we get no Larry clips, i had to do some with my amps :D

3 Amps, one cab:

Best regards,
Simon

Same Amps, same settings, Recto 412, last clip is: 2203+MF400B left, Rev F+Recto Cab right:

2203 0:00
Rev F 1:04
Über 2:09

2203+RevF 3:13

They all sound killer, but I prefer the straight Recto clip. It sounds the most brutal and barbaric. Very Cannibal Corpse like. Nicely done! What tuning and string gauge are you using?

Thank you! I had "Red Before Black" from Cannibal Corpse as reference and made a riff, similar to the third Song on the recording for comparison ;)
Recto with Marshall G12-K100, or Recto V30 cab?
It's A standard, with D'Addario 14-68 Baritone Strings on a standard 25.5 scale.

Well you sure got close to it! The guitar tones on CC’s last couple albums have been massive. They always have killer DM tone though. Did you have to modify the nut on your guitar for those strings?

Yeah :)
Yes. I just took that knife äh rasp and i cut her from her ne** down to her anu* and i cut out the v*g*n* ....ah no, i just filed the nut a bit wider, but i did not eat it :D

Which cab do you prefer with the Rectifier? The Recto (second clip) or the Marshall in the first one?

I think i like the combination of 2203+MF400B on one side, and the Recto with the matching cab on the other side, the best.

I see what you did there, you sick fuck.
I actually prefer the Marshall cab to the Rec on all of the clips. It’s got a much sweeter midrange, and cuts through better. Has a little extra growl. Ironically, I think the Mesa cab is too scooped with the Mesa amp. I think the JCM and Uber sound better through the Mesa than the Rec. They also have more mids. That being said, they all soon killer. Don’t Rec cabs have Mesa V30’s with less mids or something?

:D
I'm not sure about the voicing of the Mesa V30s, i guess they have more low mids and more highs, than the other V30s which also leads to less mids, but a big part of the sound comes from the cab and construction, too. But you know that :)
Thanks for your input!

I'm a Marshall guy, but I'm going with the Bogner here. The midrange "growl" is sinister!

800 for me, followed by the Uber followed by the Recto. In the OP clip anyway

Nice work man, great sounds. All good, but the Uber by a hair for me \w/
