Hey guys, just want to ask some advice here.
I've received a couple of months ago a "Naked" Modded Marshall by Dave Friedman and I absolutely love it!
I'm a few months away from the recordings of my new band album (in the style of Tool, A Perfect Circle, Deftones, Karnivool, AIC).
So having said that, I would like to know what would be your choice between these 3 amps:
Peavey 5150, EVH 5150 III 50W and Diezel Einstein 50W.
As I said I love my Naked Amp, and it would be the foundation of my tone.
However I would like to have something a bit more aggressive for a dual amp recording scenario.

The things that gets me toward the 5150 are its lower price and, because I've already recorded it, I know that it excels in the studio, especially when boosted. 6505+).But it's more IMHO a one trick pony, and beside all that If I ever need one only for recording, I have a couple of friends that can borrow me of its "versions" (5150, 6505+)

I've read and listened great things about the EVH III 50W, but I've never tried or recorded it.

On the other hand, I feel the Einstein a bit more versatile.
I cannot justify at the moment one of its big brothers, but I've tried it a couple of times and I've loved all its modes, especially ch1 mode 1 and 3, but I've never recorded it.
I'm a bit more towards the Einstein, given the fact that, other that from recording, I will use it as my main amp live (just in case, replacing it would be easier than replace the Naked).

So, what are your thoughts about this?

Depends what you want to spend. They are all nice. PS. I have an EVH for sale!...

i'm recording right now with the EVH 5150 III. Amazing sound and very consistent in the studio. If you have the extra money, can't go wrong with the Diezel, which will be my next amp purchase.

I had an Einstein and currently have a 5150 III 50 watt. I absolutely loved the Einstein and would own it or any Diezel again in a heartbeat. The major differnce is obviously the cost. EVH 50 watt gets the bang for the buck of all time award from me. It's a killer amp...

I loved my Einstein. Really versatile amp. That amp will do anything and do it REALLY well.

I've had my Einstein now for 3 years and its the longest by far I have kept an amp. The temptation is always there to change it up but I firmly believe an Einstein, the right guitar + pickups and an EQ in the loop can do any style and excel at it.

Hey guys thanks for the answers so far!
It seems that your choice would be between the EVH and the Einstein.
Any more thoughts, especially regarding the recording side?

For those bands you listed up there I'd pass on all 3 of those amps and get a used Mesa Tremoverb and boost it with a Tube Screamer. I owned an Einstein and never bonded with it.
