Greetings :)
I have a couple of Avatar 2x12 Contemporary style cabinets on order that should be delivered today. I would like to transport and use them in ATA-style Lift-Off (aka "Live In") cases, but I am having trouble finding some. Who has a good source for these? The cases I'm looking for are the kind where the part that looks like the lid is actually the bottom and the majority of the case lifts off to expose the speaker for use. I don't need anything super heavy-duty and would like to minimize cost - ideally $150 each or less.

The guys at Avatar mentioned a place called New York Case Company, but I couldn't find anything on them. I've looked at Road Runner Cases, but they just have a case for 2x12 combo amps (at $400).

Thanks in advance...

No way you're going to find a quality case at this price point. As a matter of fact ONE true ATA 300 Cat 1 spec compliant case will run you close to what you paid for both cabs combined.

I realize I'm not going to get a top-of-the-line case for that kind of money, but that's cool. I'm just looking for something that will protect them from the typical bumps and bruises and keep nosey teenagers out of them. I just can't seem to find what I'm looking for to even compare prices. I can find cases for 4x12 cabinets and combo amps, but not 2x12 cabinets.

XCase Wholesale makes good quality cases. Not true ATA but they should be what you're looking for. Xcase's email address is:

xcase@comcast.net

I believe the owners name is Tim. All the cases are made to order so they most likely wont have the case in stock and ready to ship right away.
