2x16 ohms + 2x8ohms in a 4x12 cab

can i wire? how do i wire? how many ohms is the end result?

sorry it's another ohm thread but this one has a twist as you see

i failed my physics class in high school so spare me!

basically i'm trying to mix 2 v30's (16 ohms) and 2 cl80's (8ohms) in a 4x12 cab. I hate v30's by themselves and I wanna try the mix first before I give up and go for 4 CL80's

Guess I'll bite the bullet and buy 2 more 8 ohm CL80's and be done with it...



I have a feeling that I can wire it to something like 10 ohms (just guessing the number) and hook it up to 8ohm output but what do i know...

You can wire the 2 8ohm speakers in series and put that in parallel with 1 16ohm speaker, that will give you 8ohms for the 3X12 cab....

I would just try to get all speakers of the same Impedance....
