Fortin released more 33 pedals so I snagged one this morning. I'm thinking the $500+ used ones on Reverb will have a hard time selling now, haha.

Yeah - hopefully this puts a dent in those inflated prices on Reverb. Although i'm sure it will be temporary. You know full well that some people are going to be buying 2, 3, 4, 10 of these, thinking they'll cash in when this second run sells out (if limited again??).

From what I read, Mike and Fredrik decided to release again because of the stupid prices on Reverb/eBay. Or they knew they would make a killing by re-releasing it, haha.

I have heard some people say it works wonders for them, I just did not have that experience. I had it through a Bogner Rev 2, a 5150 combo and I think a JP2C and it sounded like shit with all of them.
On the flip side, if you amp already sounds like shit I think this pedal could work well. But for me, why would I want to dial in my amp to sound like shit to begin with?
Tomato, Tomahto I guess there could have been some magic setting that made it sound better then what I had but I am the type to get the best sound I possibly can and then push it a little bit with a boost.
I don't do 8 strings or anything like that so maybe it just wasn't the application for me. I hope it works out for whoever buys one but it is known that the 33 is a clone of some old TC preamp only with a fixed circuit.
You can buy a clone for $100 from people on here and it will have more options. Some people don't care and want to see what it's about. I went down that road and out of all the gear I have had over the last 25 years that is the one item I listed and sold the fastest. I did not make a dime off the sale either, just passed it a long.
I just really dislike their marketing schemes with "limited runs" and all that jazz. A great product can be timeless.
I will stop rambling now. Hopefully you guys enjoy the new toy. I am curious to see your findings.
