So, I'm driving up the coast today with the top down, threw the iPod on Shuffle, and this song comes on. I knew I knew it, but couldn't place it. Checked the title - Beyond Broken. Rocked it along PCH. Good day. Great song.

He can't...he's too busy buying and selling gear

Great song, great band and Steve is as cool as they come

I've done some deals with Steve and talked with him on the phone many times, he's a great dude and really dig that album.

lead singer kinda sounds like Steven Page- Barenaked Ladies,
Cool. I wasn't aware of these guys before, thanks
edit.... I just checked out their website, what's with the different drummer in the video and 2nd guitarist? They are not on the website?

Yeah, Steve39stripes. Been here for a while.

No idea about lineup changes.

Great album. I wish them the best.

Thanks Shark Diver and the rest of you guys for the compliments!! Didn't even know this thread was on here until Kyle from Rhodes Amplification just told me ;)

To answer some questions:

1. We changed drummers after twelve years in September. Josh Daugherty is our new drummer and has brought a lot of energy to the band. The other guitarist was my buddy Jason who didn't play on the cd, but we put him in the video since he was helping me on tour with guitar duties. I never played with another guitarist on our stuff, but after recording realized I had a lot of sonic ground to cover. Since then we dropped the other guitar after adding new drummer and the band sounds cleaner to me if that makes sense. We are the best we have been in a while and playing dates with Stryper starting at the House of Blues Orlando in two weeks.

2. I LOVE gear, but truthfully a lot of my main stuff I have used for years. Celestion Greenbacks, Carl Martin compressor, MXR Micro Flanger, Klon, George L's cables, Seymour Duncan pickups, TonePros, have all been constantly used forever. I was with Gibson for years before switching to PRS two years ago and they have been very good to me. Kyle Rhodes makes a killer amp as well if you have not checked it out! The band has changed sonically quite a lot over the years, so amps have changed a bit. The Beyond Broken CD was mostly Cornford MK heads and a Suhr PT100.The solo on "Holding On" and "My Desire" was a Carol Ann OD-100. On the song "Blind" I used Seymour Duncan P-Rails designed by my buddy Frank Falbo just to see if I could squeeze all of the cleans, means, and screams, from one Les Paul Custom and one pickup!

3. Beyond Broken (the video and title track) made it to number four on some new rock chart with Switchfoot at number one a few months back, so we were in good company. If everyone would quit stealing music I might actually make money on this CD LOL!

Again I appreciate the love guys and means a lot to me. This music business is tough and life got so rough during this recording I almost gave it up, but as long as you have a vision and work hard at it things can happen. Every time I think I might be finished, something new pops up around the corner to surprise me. I played with Les Paul, shared stages with most of the musicians I looked up to, endorsed with companies I never thought I would work with, and I'm even in Vintage Guitar magazine (Joe Walsh on the cover) and other mags this month for George L's cables!! Blessed for sure ;)

I wanted to congratulate you on the George L's advertisements, but you beat me to it.
Opened up this months Vintage Guitar and there was your ad.
Right behind Steve Stevens though,......someday(big sigh)
LOL

Steve, Beyond Broken is a really good listen. I itune'd it and listened to it on a trip the last 2 days. I really like the lyrics on "my desire" and the riffs on "holding on" are killer. Pass my appreciation on to the band for all the work I'm sure it took.
Keep it up!

No worries. You guys simply make great music. It was the perfect song for the day. Coast, sand, sun and girls everywhere. Then Beyond Broken comes on and just slams you back into reality (yeah, I'm in the middle of a major breakup). Fantastic when you feel a song was written just for you.

I'm sure you guys will be big - just a bitch of an industry.

Thanks to everyone that came out to the House of Blues concert! Was an amazing show!
