I don't need chugging, but if you're demo-ing a piece of gear I don't want a bunch of noodling. Play some chords, play something I might even have heard before. I don't care how good you are at shredding, what does an open A sound like?

Wasn't demoing it, was trying to remember the lead I had done for the Mayones competition as it came up as I was chatting with either Ola or Sarah, can't remember. Also, I pack the 8-string since all my songs use 7 or 8-strings anyway, so it's an all-in-one of sorts. I don't really feel I must go for the F# at all times, much like a 6-string player doesn't really strum all 6 strings in every song.

Gotta agree here. Just because somebody videos a guy trying out an amp and throws it up on Youtube doesn't mean he's doing an amp demo for others. Heck, wait for a proper demo like everyone else, Rig Talk! 
All the stuff I've seen from Randall NAMM was a bit on the improvised side for all players with either iPhones or (IIRC) a Zoom cam, so hopefully I'll be able to record a Diavlo 45 properly, and maybe the Thrasher, when Musikmesse hits. We'll see.

If there's one thing I don't do, it's the typical "run through specs" and chug, then widdle, then go the sensitive route and call it a day. The purpose is to give the guys following me that "what if" feel. "What if Atonement had been recorded with a Rhodes" or "what if Vortex had been done with a DI'd Ironheart Studio", for example. Many amps sound fantastic solo, but I like to show them in more "real life" use, lacking a better expression.
I'm sure quite a few won't enjoy that, while others love it. Same as everything music related, so it's all good!

For the record I did say you were rippin! lol.. when i mentioned "i'll take it", I was referring to the fact that there is so little footage so though leads are not ideal, at least it was something.. but seriously what were you thinking??? Everyone knows you are only supposed to play Lynch pffft.
