Which one one what do you think? I don't care about clean....is the 50 watt big enough sounding? I just saw Soilwork (my fave band all time) they were using the regular 5150 III's.....I am on a 1K budget though...I love every Blackstar amp I've tried...the new Blackstar Metal amp intrigues me..

C'mon you slow bastards somebody say something LOL!!!! :D

Is the 50 watt 5150 big enough sounding? Most certainly. Killer gain structure too. Channels 2 & 3 are voiced differently as well, so it's almost like having 2 high gain amps in one. Haven't played any Blackstar amps. I do own the EVH.

Couldn't wait an hour for an answer? LOL

I think the Blackstar is fine, plenty of good tones in it.

I never cared for any of the non-metal HT amps Ive had. I own the 5150 iii and like it. So my vote...Fender.
Too late I guess.

I own the 5150 III 50, is a great amp. On their own each channel is amazing, but the shared controls on blue/green sorta precludes you from having both a great clean and a great crunch channel in a live setting w/o using MIDI.

If you ordered from the bigger online retailers, then it's not problem to return and exchange.
They don't mind at all, really.
GC especially. As much as some people hate them their 30 day no questions return is awesome.
They carry so much stuff that they can't stock it. So, feel free to order and try it out.
Here's a tip: Get the extended warranty and you get 60 days to try it out before returning.
If you keep the gear and don't want the warranty, return the warranty.

I'm amp shopping too and am stuck between 2-3 amps from 2 manufacturers.

Yes on all counts and it's from Sweetwater so I'm good.
