I finally received the FM3 and decided to put it up against the Kemper and real amp. A reamped track was used for all of these and recorded through the Two Notes Captor using the same IR with a high cut at 8300.

The FM3 controls were set to exactly match the settings on the amp including the Presence and Resonance (FM3 Depth) and no other Blocks were in the model except Input (noisegate OFF), Amp, Cab and Output. For the FM3 direct into the 5150 return I disabled the Cab block and the power amp section in the FM3. Pretty cool stuff!

To me the Kemper profile sounds most like the amp. Enjoy!

Thanks for going to this trouble, Tex.

Just a heads-up - "... video removed by uploader".

Would've liked to have listened.

EDIT:
You must've been swapping the embed for the link 'cause it's working now; thanks man.

I've only got a shitty CrapMac (built-in computer) mono speaker to go by, but it's obvious that the FM3 lacks the harmonic content of the original big-time. The Kemper Profile has it pretty-much nailed 'though.

Ha! You must have clicked on it just as I was swapping in a new video where I added a high cut at 8300 and re-uploaded.

The FM3 will get there or pretty close I think. It just needs to have the controls and settings tweaked and it has all the tools to do that. I wanted to see how the FM3 compared with the controls set the same as the amp. Man I really like this 5150 iii. What a great amp for the money.

They all sound pretty good to me, it just seems like the FM3 has a bit less "sizzle" to it? This could be good or bad depending on what you're overdubbing with! Cheers

Great job on this.

I think if I had closed my eyes I'd have a hard time even telling that you were switching back and forth yo.

Thanks for sharing
