5150 III vs blackstar 100

Yup I am asking for another advice / comparison thread.

What do you guys feel is the more versatile amp and better for good rhythm tracking both high and medium gain??? Which do you think sounds better and why?

P.s. I can't try these out personally only have to rely on advice and crappy demos.And I would actually be going for the newer smaller 50 watt head and we will assume it's pretty close sonically to it's big bro

5150 III

so easy to play, to be honest it actually does not weigh alot for a full size 100 watter, and it is very easy to play. it was also very fun to play. if you can find one on the used market i recommend it for the money.

yes the reason i mention all of those factors as fun/easy/etc. was because it really is different compared to a 5150 I or II, those are like bears to wrestle in your playing, you really have to play them. 5150 III was a whole different animal, pounding out chords with ease, solo's were clean and articulate but without the need or worry of wrestling the amp at all - something that you're not going to normally get posted on a forum as a reason if you have not played one... something to definitely take into account.

only problem i have with it is i prefer my 5150 II, too close in sound to invest in a 5150 III, and i also prefer what i have gigged for years, its road proven and done me well. no reason to switch

and JVM.. haha amazing when seeing amps come up gives you ideas. Last time it was tremoverb for me, ha but I am pretty sure I am not really a recto guy so I think I am gonna pull the trigger on a 5153 50 watter here...
