It's kinda complicated, but it should take care of the problems you're experiencing.
See, first, you have to check to make sure that your grid resistors will handle the extra current.
Next, you've got to make your 5150 feel like you can't live without it.
Then, you change R1 to 2k.
After that, you've got to make your 5150 feel like nobody else will ever love it. This usually takes a few months, and you've got to be very gradual about it or it can backfire. I usually start with comments about it wearing too much makeup and progress from there.
After that, place a 10pf cap between pins 5 and 7 of V5.
Finally, you've got to black its eye (it doesn't matter which one, because it's a Push-Pull amp) with a standard pimp-style knuckles-first backhand. It will also help you cry yourself afterward and tell it how much you love it.
That ought to do it.
