5153 50w MIDI latency?

Hey, long time lurker here...anyway, who here uses MIDI channel switching on their 5153 50w? Are you experiencing any switching latency? What foot controller are you using? Rather than retype my issue i'm having, here is the thread I posted on that other gear page...

..kind of a irrational rant I know, but I was/am frustrated. If you read the thread, my plan has changed. I am thinking of going back to my pedal board but adding a M5 and MIDI controller to use as just the volume cut for the blue channel and channel switching. I guess I am just looking for reassurance that this setup will be latency free.

I use a line 6 pod xt live for delay, noise gate, chorus, reverb and midi switcher. No latency at all

I would guess the latency stems from the scene change on the m13. It takes awhile to load the new effects so the latency is part of that. You will be much better off with a dedicated controller.

Actually, the scene change is instant. It is the midi out that has the latency. That is what is causing the problem for me. I need the scen change and midi out to be in sync. The latency I could have dealt with if the scene change had latency also.
