v-1 v-2 v-3 v-4 v-5 on a 6505 what tube positions will affect tone on the lead channel ?

+1 I'd like to know this too

EG. What V1 does, what V2 does..

yer but is 1 tube for fx loop, 1 tube for crunch channel etc?

All of the preamp tubes (V1-V3) are shared in the 5150/6505. In the II/+, there are some tube sections that are dedicated to different channels.
V4 is the FX loop driver and V5 is the phase splitter.
All will have a different affect on the tone.

I thought the V1 was split, and the 2 and 3 were used in the lead channel and the V1 and V2 tubes in the crunch, V1 for cleans, in the 5150.

In the II/+, they are.
In the 5150/6505, they are not.

The signal path is described below the pictures on that page. For the 5150/6505 the clean, crunch, and lead all use all of the preamp tubes all of the time.
