Ok...here's the thing...
I want a new amp...

I currently have a modded 2204 that I love so much and a Front loaded beasty cab with G12H Heritages 75hz...

Was looking for sonething fresh(2204 is not going anywhere)....

What should I choose? Is the jube defferent enough to justify 2 marshalls?

Get the 6505 , or maybe the blackmore?

I don't care about channels and I dont use boosts...I just plug into the imput...

What do you think?

The Jube is similar enough to the 2204; but can be dialed in very different too. It has a ton of usable low end; voiced darker than the 2204 but can get bright enough. The EQ is very responsive unlike most Marshalls. For me the other 2 don’t even compare to the Jube in overall tone(clarity, thump etc) but I’m not much of a fan of the 6505 or Engl at least compared to a Jubilee. The Jube will need a boost though; to get heavy where the others don’t.

I've never used a boost with my SJ unless it was for a solo. And that's just volume, no extra gain. The older I get, the less gain I use. But the SJ has plenty on tap.

ok I see the Jube getting the most votes...Is it tight enough for classic metal stuff...?
Saxon, Accept, late judas priest etc..

I am going to vote 6505 simply because the Jube is a killer amp but won't give you THAT much more than what your amp can already do. The 6505 will take you to new sonic territory. Never played the ENGL.

If you’ve already got a 2204 I would try something in a different wheelhouse. Saxon / Accept / Priest leans me more towards the Blackmore over the 5150. Good luck with your search.
