Tung sol 6550s are what’s in my 74. They’re beefy and easy to come by and sound good. They’re also very reliable.
Gold lion and sovteks are also great. I stick to these three unless I have to change.

If you don't mind paying a lot, for the best the GE are king IMO. Next would be Winged Cs...at least in my Marshalls I've owned. Tried Sovtek and Tung Sol; TS are good and a notch above the Sovs. But GE are on another level IMO.
