I have a Superbass that I think would be a candidate for Dave to mod my question is should I ?.. its not a museum piece its been around the block but.. its a sound amp and frankly its not getting a lot of love. Would love to some thoughts on this. And if so what would you do?

If it has been moded and holes drilled then have Dave mod it to what you want.
If it is pretty much stock dont mod it but maybe get it looked over and tuned up.

You can do mods that do not require drilling, then you can always put the amp back the way it was. What is it you would like to do to it mod wise?

Well I currently have a few amps that I bounce around with but I have two that don't get played as I stated. I have a Metro 50 watt that has a kitchen sink mod that I love.. so do you guys think it would be a little redundant to mod the Superbass with a BE I know I would gain more head room right off the bat or would you sell the two that don't get any love and buy another flavor of amp....

I own a couple old Marshalls Dave has done. I had Dave mod two basketcase heads and tweak my 69 Superbass. I say talk to him- you might not have to go crazy to get that head sounding great.

I had Dave mod my 71' SLP a couple of years back and while I still love it, there's some things on there I could live without.

If I were you, I do the following:

BE/HBE and loop. If it has four speaker jacks on the back like mine did, two could be used for the S/R and one could be used for a RTN Level knob if you make the channels foot swtichable.

C45, SA, Fat and VH are all fun but they're just different flavors. Out of the four, the two I use most are VH (Voice now) and SAT. C45 is cool as everything sounds bigger and Fat is wicked nice even with humbuckers.

If you want to do switches, maybe Dave can replace some pots with push pull pots so you don't have to drill.
