big bottle, some people say 6ca7 better lows and mids and glassy highs, higher headroom than el 34

new production stuff, the only real difference is the shape of the bottle IMHO, and sometimes some added low end. Old actual 6CA7's had more low end, but also more head room. Still, it's kind of like the difference between the 6BQ5 and EL84 which is just the European and US equivalents of each other.

Cool...I knew there had to be some difference. Which new production tubes would have a tamed/tight bottom end with sweet mids? I've always been happy with =C='s and was wondering if there was something better out there...
