What in the hell makes someone want to take a guitar, cut the wings off..and then try to scallop the frets? I guess if it's yours you can do whatever you want with it but hell, those were nice guitars. I really hope he did this in the 80's and didn't know any better, and found it in a closet or something.

  At least he's not upselling it like, "Lightly used in my pet and smoke free studio"

I have owned a few of the old Hammer USA guitars. Some of the best guitars I have played or owned.

I know it's said as a joke when a guitar is beyond help,
but that actually looks like it would be an effective canoe paddle

I played Scarabs exclusively for over 10 years.IMHO USA Hamers are way overrated. So you may ask why did I play them for so long. Because I couldn't find another guitar I liked better and sometimes the familiar is better than the unknown. Like some say about buying a boat. the 2 best days of my life was when I bought my first Scarab II and when I sold my last one.
Hamer was also a horrible company to deal with.
As far as that one goes .......like someone said, it is a boat oar
