What's the gist on these guitars? Value? Have they gone up in price...down...held value? What type of tone/feel do they have?

Unforunately the demand for the ce isn't too high unless it's from the real early prs era. Even if it's in near mint you're probably looking around 1000-1300. It's funny, I had someone offer me one for My evh that I had on cl. Wasn't worth the trade at all.

I just tracked down the email. Guys name was mike wakefield and it was a sunburst. That was your black evh on cl near me huh? If you're thinking of doing that trade I wouldn't man, not worth it at all.

I wasn't really considering it...but was curious about the guitar. I have a friend who raves about PRS' but I've never really played one.

Rich, I have a pretty good PRS collection. Next time your up this way we can set up a time for you to come by and check them out.

I've owned a couple, pre 95 with the alder body and one of the newer ones with mahogany. Honestly, there isn't very much special about the early 90s version in my opinion except for the smaller neck heel but on a 24 that's not a huge difference vs. the 22. The hog bodied versions sound better to me esp. if you playing with moderate to high gain. The newer ones can also usually be had for less on the used market.
