I need to buy Nut Files to do nut work myself.
I investigated alot. I want to go with the Stewmac Gauged Files because they seems to be the best (except for Grobet). I based my decision in threads like this http://www.tdpri.com/forum/tele-tech...nut-files.html and http://www.tdpri.com/forum/tele-tech...ml#post3319555.
I have two selections of files in mind that were recommended for two experienced and respetable users in other forum (one selection for user), I will quote the recommendations:
1) 013, .016, .024, .035, .046 and .056 for the 6 guitar strings and then .065, .085, and .105 for bass work
2) .016, .020, .028, .035, .049, .056 this will do 8's through 13's (he not recommended files for bass work)
I need to mention that I play 7 string exclusively and that need to be considered a file for my low B string (.068 gauge). Other thing to be considered is that I need files for bass work too.
What do you think about that two selections of tools? what do you recommend? I need to buy a versatile set to work in the most scenarios possible. Seems to be that Im inclined for the first option. Let me know what you think, if you have a recommendation please feel free to tell me.
