about those Digitech MEQ's i got ...seems without them...amps have better sound quality ...but with them I get the frequencies I like and even need to pull off some of the stuff i'm doing ...right now, I am running Randall with front EQ and no delay ...I have the Marshall 8200 running EQ and delay in series loop ...for just lead tone it sounded crazy good when I put EQ and delay in both Randall and Marshall series loops ...but rhythm was not as good that way ...for a while I ran with EQ in series loop of Randall, and delay in series loop of Marshall ...that wasn't too bad ....but I think it is better now the Marshall is a little more forgiving of EQ and effects ...Randall starts sounding more like a valvestate with EQ and delay in loop ...so its better to preserve its tube sound ...still i missed the delay in Randall for lead and clean ...so i hooked up a Peavy solid state and ran slave out of Randall and into another delay (not MIDI ) into a Peavey ...it is just a keyboard amp, i just unhooked the tweeter ...i was surprised how good it sounded that way
