Question: I am building an acoustic pedal board to go with my 12 string. I've been doing a little research, but one answer still seems a bit ambiguous. I have a BBE Acoustimax (Preamp, DI, 3-band EQ, etc.), as well as some other things. I'm curious if it would be a nice add on to get the mic imaging of the Fishman Aura 16 (12 string Model), in combination with the BBE Acoustimax. I know the Fishman Spectrum Aura is a DI, so the BBE and the Spectrum would be overkill. However, would the Aura 16 and the BBE work well together or no? Looking for a shimmer with good tone. No harshness or heavy woof bass frequencies. I'm afraid the Fishman's influence to the tone will be overshadowed by the BBE's Sonic Maximizer. Maybe just the BBE and a compressor. Any positive input is much appreciated!
