Back in the day I used to love playing through these cabs in my local music store. Recently, I have found the need to separate my sound on stage so I can move more (not a big fan of in ears). Also, loading and handling 2x12's is becoming more appealing than my 4x12's. I think they came w/ Celestion 50watt speakers but not too sure. Does anyone have any first hand knowledge of these cabs?

No intimate knowledge but there are a pair of them that keep popping up on my local CL that just don't seem to move. I see them about every other week for about the past 4 months.

I used 2 of those 2x12's in stereo years ago. Honestly, i remembering the best thing i did was dump them for a Marshall 4x12.

I also had a pair of the 2x12 cabinets. I don't recall them being to stellar. But...that was my '90's digitech solid state setup with ADA poweramp. Lol.

See, thats the thing. Back then you were usually running a weak rack set up (ART's with a microcab) through them so I wonder how they sound with todays high gain amp heads.

Yeah, even at that I don't remember them being anything sensational or regarded as the holy grail of cabinets. I liked them mostly out of convenience and they looked cool 'cause you could spread them across your room (well,,,between my stereo). And yeah...I think I had a digitech ss pre-amp processor and an ADA Microtube power amp, possibly an ART footswitch. I believe the speakers were Celestion 50W, which also weren't real popular.

A pair of those would be cool to use in a W/D/W setup flanking a 4x12. Run the 4x12 dry and your stereo out to a an ADA 2x12 on either side of it.

I had 'em back in the day. I remember them sounding thin, but I think that may have been my rig I was playing at the time.

I have someone here locally selling them (a pair, 2 2x12's) for $300. They seem to be in great shape. I wonder what they sound like w/ a CL-80 and/or V30's.
