hey guys, im new to rig-talk. I'm coming from harmony central. been there for a while... you know how it goes
anyways, I want to add the graphics EQ to my mark III blue stripe rackmount 60W. does mesa boogie do this kind of thing? and if so, is it reasonably affordable/worth it? i use an EQ in the loop sometimes but :dunno:

I believe it can still be done but parts including the new faceplate are getting scarce, your best bet is to call Mesa and ask for repairs. I think Danyeo was going in this direct a little while a go and may have a better answer.

Dan`s words:
"My last IIC+ was a non-EQ model. It sounded good with a 10 band MXR EQ in the loop, but my plan was to send it to Boogie and get the EQ installed. After i spoke with Mike Bendinelli my plans changed. I wasn't about to shell out another $700 just to get EQ installed. And the amp would have needed a Mark III faceplate. I bought the amp for $1700 and put it in a headshell which cost $300. I sold the combo chassis for about $200. So another $700 and that's a lot of dough to shell out for a model that would of had some work done to it. "

700 for the EQ :aww:

The $700 was the total amount including me shipping back and fourth to Mesa Boogie. And along with the cost of adding the EQ they charge you an extra $100 or $125 to give the amp a "once over". The EQ itself is $450.

If you have a Mark III just stick an EQ pedal in the loop. The 10 band MXR works great in the loop.
