Everyone helped me Tremendously in picking
out a boost pedal, Thank you!
Want to get away for my G Major rack
effects and simplify my Rig with a sweet Delay unit.
What I have in mind is a Eventide Time Factor or
An Empress Super Delay. Is there a better pedal
out there?

I want an overdriven tone with creamy, smooth
delay....Ala Steve Vai and John Petrucci.
Can you post some youtube vids. of any Killer
Delay Demos that I can check out??
I would greatly appreciate it!
Thanks

Simple:

MXR Carbon Copy, best analog bang for the buck. I have two on my board I like them so much.

Cool Demo Man, but are there any Delay Demos
of anyone using a Highly Overdriven Tone?
(I don't play clean at all)
Like a Modded Marshall or Boogie wide open
with a Killer delay flowing in it?

Time Factor and El Capistan. The Strymon EC is just crazy good.

El Capistan. I had lots of trouble with levels on a Timefactor. I couldn't get it to sound loud enough without distorting in an effects loop and I hated in front of the amp. I can pull off either method with the Strymon.

The Trex replica is a simple great sounding delay, one of the best I've tried. It gets great reviews.
He speaks the truth here!!

I have both the Timefactor and Carbon Copy.

The timefactor sounds great but for my use, it was a case of over-engineering the solution on my part. If Eventide could dumb it down a little for the not so bright users like me, bang it in a smaller form factor casing, and give me a couple of knobs to tweak on the fly it would be perfect......and now reading that back I think I might have just described the Hardwire DL8 dammit!...or the Boss one that Bonamassa uses.

Anyway, the CC sees more use, I can use it with a high gain amp and it sits in front of the amp no problems.

TRex also great but takes up a chunk of pedal board real estate too......

I loved my Superdelay but it just had too many options. If you like that kind of thing though, it really can do EVERYTHING you may ever want/need from your delay pedal :dunno:

I've been rocking a Malekko 600 Dark in the loop and I've been loving it.

+1 for the Empress Super Delay - get the vintage modified version for some extra sweet tape delay sounds...

i'm a fan of the carbon copy, great analog sounding delay for a decent price (pick one up used for even cheaper), the other delays named all sound fantastic

I think the real question you have to ask yourself is do you want/need things like tap tempo/subdivisions/other delay types/reverse modes/looper etc... or a simple delay with just a few knobs

i really like the mad pr0fess0r line 0f pedals but havent tried their delay 0ut yet? any0ne actually played 0ne in pers0n?? The new pcb line is much m0re aff0rdable then the hand wired and are supp0sed t0 use same parts and s0und identical.
