ok....
Here is a list of my gear and the current configuration I have (without the decimator g-string added).I would like advise on what would be the best/optimal setup of all these effects but mainly how to apply the ISP Decimator G-string in order to clean up both the FX loop section as well as the front end of the amp, since I have some noisy pedals on both ends as well as noisy active pickups.
* please note that this is not the regular decimator so please understand how this pedal works before commenting. Also I use my amp (Mesa roadster) as my main source of drive/distortion even though I will be listing some distortion pedals below. These are there only for certain songs my band plays. I play mostly heavy rock, alternative, some metal and blues. Trying to get a "Modern" Foo Fighters sound
!!!!!!!!!! I Will attempt to add pictures of my rig as well as the list below!!!!!!!!!!!!
My Gear: (listed in actual order I have them currently connected)
-*Gibson les Paul special
*PRS single cut Satriani model>
>line 6 digital wireless>
>Dunlop 535Q Wah Wah>
>Boss Compressor/sustainer>
>Boss EQ>
>EH Micro Pog-octave pedal>
>Love Pedal Super Lead>
>Boss Metal Zone >
>>>> last pedal (metal zone) going to my Mesa Roadsters main INPUT on the front.
FX Loop SEND>
> BBE Sonic Maximizer>
> Zoom G3 Multi fx (for trem,phaser etc)>
> Line 6 DL4 delay>
> EH Freeze pedal>
> Boss RC3 Looper>
> Morley Volume pedal>
>>>Volume pedal "out" going to amps FX RETURN
*Only other connection is a Boss Tuner going directly to the back of my amp in a dedicated tuner port for silent tuning, this is not part of the chain so ignore that
So...how would you set these pedals up? Again, I know it all comes down to preference but let's hear yours.
More importantly .. How do I incorporate the G-String pedal into this setup. I am aware that the time based effects are behind it so they don't get cut off? What ports do I connect my amps "send" to on the g-string? What port for the pedals behind it? And of course which port for the front end pedals?
Many thanks in advance guys.
