Are you near a Suhr dealer.

It was eye opening to try a few, actually six, before buying one.

The Alder body, no cap, maple neck, PF fretboard guitars in the drip versions they sell sound great, until playing a swamp ash maple cap maple neck.

I was set on getting the very cool Rootbeer drip guitar. Played a few wood combinations and the swamp ash male cap just has that bite. It was great to set the amp and just hit a few chords on each to hear the difference. The maple just hit the amp harder and nastier.

I like the smooth and mellow taper of the Modern's tone control. It was easy to get the alder body guitar smoothness and then get bak the burn with opening up the tone knob.

It behaves like a telecaster tone control like that. The secret weapon.

I got a spalted tobacco sunburst. The Rootbeer metallic drip guitar looked the part, but the spalted maple had the goods. Shred machine with a dirty blues mojo.

The Standard it sits next to. I love me some maple necks. This one has museum grade roasted maple neck and fingerboard. Crazy resonant.
