fuck...I knew Marshall was going to go the cheap route...is it really that expensive to have chin  ese labor put out a ptp board?

you would be paying for BS. The BS fee is really expensive. Any pre channel switching 800 with the right mod will get you right in the ballpark at a thrid the cost. Why would anyone want a dead on tone anyways? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

I mean since they are already producing the jcm 800 2203x on the production line they have all the foundation they need...they could do one for the SLP too...call it the "underground series" or something gay like that, offering modified versions of these amps. On second thought, no, lets just do a digital amp!

I never had high hopes for the afd amp from the start. Why would they start doing anything right now, when people have been paying for the name and not quality for years?

The clips do sound pretty good though...

But I really lost my faith in all Marshall amps a lot of years ago, decades actually   ...

My Marsha will be here soon so really I have zero G.A.S. for a Marshall right now but you have to admit they have had better ideas over the past few years. For awhile they were just riding the gravy train. With the JVM, Vintage Modern, AFD, etc., at least they are trying to improve product.

There prices are outrageous but then again, so is Fender, Gibson, and all of the other "classic" names.

I still think someone is getting insanely rich instead of making a decent product.

Hasn't this topic already been beat to death in another thread?
