I heard that the pot shafts on an Edwards are a different diameter than what's on a Gibby, so I can't just buy any "standard" Les Paul replacement knobs I'm assuming. What are my options. :)

I've bought generic ones - for a 6mm axis (riffled - not sure if thats the correct word in english). But because you have a cut inside the axis you can gently either move the sides closer to each other or widen the things up, so all of them would do their job normally.

Good to know, thanks Olaf.

So with a little finessing I can get a standard replacement on...

Yes Shiny, just move the two sides carefully - the material is (I need to look that up in a dictionary) brittle (learnt something today - hooray :D ) , esp. the lower priced asian stuff of today.
