Have any of you guys, by any chance, gotten to compare these 2 pedals? If so, which do you like better and why? I have a Savage Drive, but still haven't gotten to try a Precision Drive yet. I'm curious if it would be as effective as the savage in tightness and articulation. My 2 favorite pedals for that so far are my Savage and Cussack Screamer

Haven't compared them yet. I feel like the precision drive is pretty spendy. Can get two savages for the price. I like the savage in front of my EVH combo, but it's almost too much in front of my Stealth, so I prefer my Horus overdrive(which is a bit more vintage sounding) in front of that amp.

I liked the SD better. Both accomplish the same goal... but I didn't like the mid voicing on the PD. A little more nasally sounding maybe.

Interesting. I do like that the Savage is not nasally compared to other OD pedals. Which do you think is capable of more tightness and articulation? So far the only other pedal I've tried that can match and maybe even beat out the Savage by a little bit for tightness would be my Airis Liver Kick, but only by a little maybe and it's not technically an OD pedal. Also, which one is thicker or more saturated? Which would you guys prefer for leads or single note type stuff?

Is it a large difference in voicing? I do find the precision drive to do everything I like besides the nasalliness. Right now my favourite pedal is the VFE focus

I wouldn't say there is a huge difference in tightness... arguable about the same. I just like the overall sound of the SD better. The mid voicing out me off of the PD. It's more like the Airis Proto Dive. I think the SD is the thicker & more saturated of the two.

Enough for me to prefer the SD. The voicing of the PD would probably work better for some things (djent- with really boosted mids)... but for what I play, the Savage Drive sounds better.

The Precision Drive has the modified MXR Smart Gate. What noise gate are you using ?
The Attack control on the Precision Drive seem like it just cuts bass. Anyone know what it is actually doing ?
