Thanks Pat, but my 40 year old amp technology and designs are so 2006, you know? ;)

I have three.......two have modded power supplies, but still stock preamps....the bottom one is a Hi Gain Jorge model :D

I was thinking today, Pat sold his Peacemaker, Steve sold his Peacemaker, Zach sold his Peacemaker, Mark Kamoniwannalaya fell off Florida into the Bermuda Triangle. I feel so lonely with my uncool, lacking gain stages amps.

Sorry George. I thought you hated stock Marshalls. I thought you modded all of them. Is that a Super Trem I see second from the bottom? I have one too!

That Traynor is a plexi clone too, isn't it?

Just the power supplies for my stuff now. With slaving I don't think extra gain is necessary and recording doesn't need giant bottom end. Having a Wizard around covers the higher gain Marshall territory as does the 5150.

Yeah the 2nd from the bottom is a '68 Super Tremolo minus the tremolo stuff. It was removed long ago. Been looking for some original parts to get it back the way its supposed to be. No luck so far. What year is yours? Does the trem still work?

I had the 2nd one down modded like a 2203 with 6550's, but put it back to stock (except for the power supply). It sounds about the same with the stock preamp. It's a great sounding Marshall either way!! Lucky to find that one.

The Traynor does sound plexi like cranked...it's more like a Twin with a 6CA7 power section. I bought it for the tremolo, its pretty cool!

The bottom one is definately modded.

I want a vintage SL but they are too expensive  Looking for a HW 1959, dumpster diving has been slow.

Go kiss your Cinderella posters and cry somewhere where they care

I have the 1959RR and I use input one which bypasses the cascade mod.

I have powerful gas for a JTM45 or a Superbass. I'd put in a master, use an attenuator and a boost though.... :aww:

Nothing wrong with a master and an attenuator, just don't add another tube.

What about a Boss Metal Zone mounted inside the chassis - is that a no-no?

I have a superlead with just a master volume mod, but is sucks so I leave it on 10 :D

I still have my 50 watt smallbox Metro plexi. Thing fucking kills!

Serious question: What would be the advantage of a master volume circuit if an attenuator is being used as well?

Steve sold his Peacemaker,
I only sold mine because with the amp I'm building, I won't need it anymore. The amp I'm building will have a stock Super Lead as part of it...

I still use an attenuator for my master volume 100 Marshall heads for its purpose, but dont go past 8 db. Master volume or not, its a loud amplifier and mine are bone stock clean, so i like to push the Power tubes harder while achieving reasonable volumes.
