Planning to start up the amp building classes in the spring (April-ish). Considering taking it "on the road". Don't want to ship all the stuff we need to bring so locations need to be within driving distance from Detroit, MI. Suggestions? Chicago? Nashville? New York? Sounds like a great time to me..

I'd build another amp if you held a class in the Chicago area.

SAGINAW MICHIGAN!!!

........Oh wait.... :aww:

Always wanted to get down to one of these Bruce.
Unfortunately my play money has been dry the past few years.
You dont take the GI BILL do you? Training class?

This sounds great, another one for Chicago.
Is there a fee to attend?

Yes, there is a fee. I don't know what Bruce will charge for the road trip tour, but it is about the price of a mid-range boutique amp (that you'll build and go home with).

If you come to NY, I'm definitely in. I've wanted to take this class for years!

Hey Bruce, what about London, UK? I've got a Tweaker 40 only 20 months old and the trannie has blown….as I can't get any response from Egnater seems I need to build one myself!

I still think that you should offer these via skype or some such similar service. It obviously wouldn't be the same experience as being in the room, and having you there to review the final product, but allowing people to pay a fee and sit in on the session virtually to learn some of the theory and ideas would be great for those that can't make it to a class, and likely result in some pretty fantastic revenue for you, at essentially little to no additional cost.

I am designing a new amp for the classes. Smaller, lower power (20watts/two 6V6 power tubes) with some different cool features. May offer it as a head or 1x12 combo.
Because it will be a new design, I want to do the first class close to home, probably in May, to be sure there are no issues. I can then feel better about taking it "on the road". Anyone interested?

I for one would want one of the 100 watt heads like Mark Day's old amp in his old videos...

Actually that is a 50 watt model that he built in the very first class.
