I have a gig Sat nite and am thinking of taking my two plexi's. Has anyone done the old school method of ganging two amps together?

I used to take my 50 watt plexi into a UA and run the line out into the bottom right input of a 100 watter. 1st amp everything dimed and second amp shaped the tone. Not sure that's what you meant, but it sounded killer.

One method was to plug gtr into amp 1 Ch I top input, then out the bottom input to amp 2's CH I top input. That's what I think of as the old school way. Always had a way to split the signal so I never tried this way.

My other thought is to do what you are suggesting, but instead of the using the amp input I would use a different amp's fx loop return or power amp....

I'd plug into top left. Run jumper from bottom left to top right...run output from bottom right to top left input of amp 2. THen run another jumper on amp 2.

Isn't this how Jimi chained all those Marshalls?......is this was geo said?

Is the EH 22 not working out? You know they're making a 44 :)

That's basically what I'm talking about, just without the channel blending. Hendrix most likely would have used this method to hook his stacks together, not sure if he channel blended though.

Yeah it would be loud enough, just not sure what I want to take yet. These two plexis sound awesome. Since I don't play much anymore, thought it might be fun to try both amps together.
