sounds pretty damn good in that video... I saw a guy review it who works for Boss and he basically said it sucked "not enough gain, clean is meh" etc ... looks to me like it gives a Katana a run for its money although they are apples and oranges to a degree. At 2.5x the price of a Kat maybe it is the tube version for people who only want tube amps

My guess is he was talking about the EL34 version. The 6L6 has a ton of gain In fact it has amazing tone when plugged into a V 30 Cab. Super rich sounding and can easily hang with my best high gainers The cleans are ok and the reverb not great but the amp destroys the recent Mesa offerings like Fillmore or JP2c. I think people that play this through a V3o 2X12 or 4X12 closed back cab will freak.

My concern with ANY amp at this price range is the construction. Many of these cheaper tube amps use sub-par electrolytic capacitors that fail very quickly. The PCB’s can also be hard or impossible to work on without traces lifting.
It’s something to keep in mind when your looking at a tube amp in this price range.
I’m not badmouthing this particular amp.
I saw Ola did a video and I thought it sounded good for higher gain chugs.
