What would you guys like from amp manufacturers in the next couple of years? I would love to see a Butterslax Jr. or 50 watt Peavey 6505. Maybe some more 20-35 watt amps from Mesa.

30-40 watt, affordable 6L6 one channel amps that take boosts and pedals well.

I think if Marshall came out with their own version of a Modded 800 that was actually called a "modded" 800, that would do well for them, and I would be interested in Marshall's take on it. Other than that, the market is so saturated with options right now, it's ridiculous (in a good way)

I can't think of much that isn't already available to be totally honest. 50 watt heads in a smaller package like the Splawn Supersport would be great. I dig the small form factor, but need the power to cut in a loud band without the power section mushing out, and most of the lunchbox amps don't deliver there quite yet.

I wish for what all amps desperately need : quality, dependable new production tubes. Like a child wishing for Santa to be real, its an unfulfillable wish. :(

Actually, yes. This x1000

Marshall had a good thing with the Kerry King JCM800. They should have kept improving on that.

Indeed Gary, indeed.
Until then I’ll just rely on the stash of 300+ power and pre tubes I have. Should last a while I hope.

This is why I started my tube hunt in the late 80’s until now. I’ve got enough for my lifetime.

Basicallly as others have said a 40 or 50 watt compact head
W clean and OD channels
iR loaded like the suhr And REVV

I want to be able to play live
Rehearse w band practice at home
And record all with one amp

I don't get this. They had the JCM800 2203KK and the JCM800 2203ZW that were two takes on a modded 800.

nice man, 300!!!

A full 100W amp with a built in Reactive Load and IR Loader.
Possible outputs are:
1) bypass Reactive Load and go out as a normal amp to speaker cabs
2) simultaneous output to speaker cabs and reactive load. Example: 8 ohm speaker cab combined with 8 ohm Reactive Load just as you would use two 8 ohm cabs. Reactive Load path can be Wet, Speaker cab dry, oh the options.
3) Line level output from IR Loader - take to PC, FOH, whatever
4) USB output of IR Loader - connect to PC/Mac for recording straight into DAW

Compete head-on with modelers at their own game. So many possibilities with an amp like this...
If Synergy Amps did something like this and I may sell my Axe-Fx III.

I want an AC30 in a Tiny/Dual Terror-ish form factor. I don't think that's too much to ask.

Yeah, I go on streaks of buying tubes...I think I'm ok now for a while..My biggest worry is if one of the kids finds my containers and opens them up not knowing what's in there and breaks some. Ugh.

The JCM800 2203ZW was not a modded Marshall. It was simply an 800 that had 6550's in it. The 2203KK Was/is a Modded Marshall.

I think a very cool amp would be a Bogner Ecstasy Blue channel 50 watter in a Helios/plexi style headshell with a great loop. Footswitchable 2nd master, maybe a pre-eq and excursion switch or even the depth control and punch switch from the helios. The mini Ecstasy looks sort of cool but I think waaaay more people would dig the blue channel in a plexi style headshell. I know I would.

Good call on the Marshall hot rodded 800 too, although the Jubilee is filling that void for me and doing a great job of it. I don't know..pretty much every type of amp I could want already exists and now it's just a matter of incorporating more features like midi, built-in IR, etc. Like stratjacket said, compete directly with the modelers. So basically, a great tube amp design with different eq topologies that can "model" other great tube amps and a built-in OX or Power Station is the next step.

i think a 50 watt Friedman Pink Taco, keep it 1 channel, no switches, fx loop, maybe add a presence control, keep it at $2000 or less would be awesome, but thats probably impossible lol

I'd like the original 50W 2x12 Peavey combo to be updated into a separate updated smaller head and 2x12 closed back cabinet.
