Ampete amp switcher question

Considering one of these and was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction / comment.

from what I understand I can use one set of pedals and direct it to any loop on any of the amps (not at the same time though). Question is, if I have a few pedals in front of the amp, can I run that into the Ampete and send it to any of the amps Im playing on or do I have to replicate the pedals for each amp?

looking to make a multi amp set up as seamless as possible for home use. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks!!

I don't have one, but my understanding is that you can run whatever you want (front of amp pedals included) into the "guitar in" on the unit, and that will send whatever signal you feed it, to any of your amps.

Then there is a loop on the unit for time based effects (or any other effects you want to feed) into fx-loops on the amp(s).

Short answer is, this unit looks fantastic and I want one too!

I think the Ampete comes with buffered and bypassed inputs? Anyways just run your upfront pedals in front of the ampete input and you should be good.

I have the 222. you can run pedals in front. it shares a common FX chain with the loops of both amps, and is assignable to amp 1 or 2. two cabs, each or both assigned to either head. or, stereo with both heads mixed into both cabs, which is the best feature of it for live sound. midi controllable with anything. good piece of kit.

Thanks Steve! Very helpful. Thinking I'll get the 4 amp one (Spyder?) and use it at home to hook up 4 of my amps so I can just plug and play without having to move all my shit around! thanks again.

I have the Ampete 444 an I run my pedals in front of it and also used it with switching whatever I have plugged in the Ampete's fx loops between 4 different amps with effects loops. If you use a RJM gizmo or any pedal loop switcher you can have different combinations when using program change through MIDI from the loop switcher into the Ampete.
