Just downloaded Peavey's Ampkit+ for my iPhone. Gotta say it's very cool. Right now I'm using the interface cable I use for my Amplitube iRig app but they're really not compatible. I have to keep the volume really low or it squeals. The 6505+ and 6534+ models sound killer. I like the Amplitube app's layout a little better but since I'm a 5150 honk I'm digging the Ampkit+. It sounds really good. There's several other amps to choose also. You have to buy them though. There's a Peavey 3120, a Peavey Valveking, Peavey classic 30 and several other Fender, Marshall and Recto type models. I ordered the correct interface cable hopefully I'll get it soon. Anyway, all you 5150 guys like myself you'll really like this app.

I bought the irig and amplitube sounds like shit this is way better right away...what do you get for the 20 bucks what amps? I have the free version now and its not bad, I just raised the noise gate to about 50% no squealing.

We've got thousands that disagree, but it really sounds like a technical issue. Try http://www.ikmultimedia.com/irig/faq and if nothing there works contact support. Thanks! We feel we definitely compete at least on the same level and far from "sounds like shit" to be sure.

hey no offense but the ampkit with nothing done sounds alot better and im basing this on the free versions all the same factors , guitar, headphones ect. again this my opinion, so take it with a grain of salt, I still bought the ik plug!

I enjoy both apps. But I love my 5150 and the 6505+ and the 6534+ models sound pretty damn close on the Ampkit+. But I really enjoy the Marshall sound with the overdrive pedal on the Amplitube app. And the clean sound is NICE! I plugged it into the PA system and was blown away. The guys in my band we're shocked when they saw it was my iPhone and Amplitube app producing the sound.

You get the Peavey 3120, Peavey Valveking, a Marshall type model called Colonel Vintage modeled after a JTM45 and a Vintage Brit modeled after a VOX AC30. You can buy some additional amp models as well like 6505+, 6534+, a JCM 900, Fender Twin, Fender Hod Rod Delux and a Mesa Dual Rectifier. Each cost about $5.99 and include the cabinet model. It comes with quite a few pedals: EQ, Gate, Dist, Harmonizer, Echoe, Flanger and Phaser. You can purchase additional effects for $5.99. My only complaint and I have the same complaint with the Amplitube app is the amps need an effects loop option. Having to put the delays before the preamp really makes the delays sound horrible. They only really sound good on clean channels. Even if you run a clean amp and then put in say a overdrive and distortion and then the delay it still has that sound I don't really care for. Amplitube and Ampkit guys if your listening we need an effects loop option for these amps!
