Reading your equipment list - you guys SOUND like ampoholics- but I'll bet if I went to your gigs, you'd have amazing tones..................... so there's the balance, thanks for the descriptions of the tones and amps.

I'm trying to find out if the Elmwood Preamp Pedal has enough of that tone to juice things up in the studio.

I think most people that post on these forums are concerned about their sounds and swap out amps frequently.
I know I do.
I like the Amps I have now. But I still got the bite for a new amp.
I buy em, upgrade the tubes, try out different speaker combinations.
I had a Fender Sun Model T, Which is a great amp, but doesn't have reverb. It had to go.
I had a Laney AOR, Lead 50, Which is a great amp, but it doesn't have reverb. It had to go.

Do a study on tubes. I've learned a little bit and use custom tube combinations on all of my Amps.
Don't mess with cheap tubes or cheap speakers.
